When this applies

Procedure

  1. Ensure the vehicle is not stored inside any ICBC building.
  2. Put on all the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  3. Determine whether any estimating function will likely stir up dust.
Warning: Spray the area with water from a labelled bottle, if you need to obtain information or items from inside the vehicle, as this action may cause dust to be stirred.
    Example:

The windshield intact, and you are unable to read the vehicle identification number (VIN) due to fire residue. You need to break the windshield to expose the VIN plate. You must spray the windshield before breaking it.

    2. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
