The claims representative settles a total loss for a recreational vehicle.
Settling a total loss
When settling a total loss on a recreational vehicle, the claims representative must
- complete a Total Loss Recreational Vehicle Worksheet (CL30E) on every total loss, and
- review applicable valuation resources to determine accurate actual cash value (ACV).
Valuation resources
The claims representative must use one or more of the following resources to determine an ACV:
- Specialty Services department of the Total Loss valuation provider
- product dealers - requires a minimum of three quotes, or
- independent appraisers, with the manager’s approval.
