The estimator must use manual entry judgement times, when refinish times are not

  • listed in the paint agreement
  • in MCE, or
  • the applicable paint chart.

If three-stage not automatically generated in MCE

When three-stage is not in MCE database, the three-stage additional refinishing operation will not automatically calculate the times. The time must be manually calculated as follows:
  • use the refinishing time
  • add a 35% allowance to the refinishing time, and
  • add the three-stage refinishing operation under the additional paint operations and enter the manually calculated time.
