Sublet repair

Definition

A sublet repair is a repair performed for a negotiated or pre-set price by a subcontract repair facility, when the type of repair is not commonly repaired in the industry. For example, a collision repair facility may sublet an engine removal.

When a sublet repair is performed, the repair participant should seek a trade discount, percentage off the final invoice amount, for sublet, frame or mechanical repairs.
