Heavy equipment repairs at non supplier facility
Guidelines for heavy equipment repairs at non-supplier facilities.
Non supplier facilities
Most businesses performing heavy equipment repairs have a supplier number. The terms and conditions on the Estimate form specify that repair facilities must have an ICBC supplier number to qualify for the labour rate shown on the Estimate or Appraisal.
The diversity of equipment (for example, cranes, backhoes, concrete pumps) sometimes requires repairs to be made by a repair facility that specializes in a specific type of repair. These repair facility do not have supplier numbers due to the infrequency of ICBC claims they complete. When repairs are made by the non- supplier facility, they:
- may be entitled to the heavy equipment labour rates
- can invoice ICBC directly (customers do not have to pay the shop directly and submit the bill for reimbursement), and
- must be added to the Vendor Master to facilitate payment.
