Claims can be excluded from the collision repair program due to claim type or other coverage reasons.

Excluded claim and damage types

These claim and damage types are excluded from the program:

  • vehicles that have been identified as an obvious total loss.

Excluded claims due to other coverage reasons

In addition to the certain types of claims excluded from the collision repair program, some claims may be excluded for other coverage reasons:
  • Specified Perils claims where coverage is not applicable to cause of loss
  • vehicles insured out of the province
  • claims where the customer has no Collision coverage and the third party has not reported
  • claims where the Own Damage coverage is with a private insurance company, and
  • claims where the estimate must be held, such as due to debt.
