Required equipment use for frame rate

Frame repairs require the use of special equipment, and due to the complexity and the equipment involved, pulling and aligning frames is paid at a frame rate when specific repair equipment is used.

For the frame rate to apply, the repair facility must use specific equipment to perform the repair, including

• an anchoring system, such as P-4’s, bench or similar system, to secure the vehicle at a minimum of four points
• simultaneous three dimensional electronic measuring equipment with data subscription maintaining system updates upon request, and
• a hydraulic pulling equipment capable of multiple pulls at any angle.

Estimate repair entries that auto populate with a frame rate from Mitchel Estimating should not be adjusted.

When frame rate applies

Repair time(s) for the following procedures is paid at the repair facility’s applicable frame rate

• set up
• measuring
• pulling
• aligning
• cutting, and
• welding of access holes.

Unacceptable billing

Billing at the frame rate when all of the required equipment was not used or necessary during the repair process, may result in a quality assurance (QA) assessment.
