Supplier changes to ownership, name or location policy

Policy on supplier changes to majority ownership, legal name or location.

Policy

Changes to the majority ownership, legal name, or location of a supplier may void their ICBC supplier number. The supplier must re-apply to qualify and continue operating as an ICBC supplier.

A change to the majority ownership, legal name or location of a supplier, requires that the supplier:

  • advise ICBC’s Accreditation Programs department 30 days prior to the change
  • complete a Material Damage Supplier Number – Trade form (CL174)
  • send all supporting documents and the Material Damage Supplier Number – Trade form to ICBC’s Accreditation Programs, and
  • provide and/or allow the facility to be inspected and photographed to ensure the business continues to meet ICBC’s supplier requirements.
Note: Majority ownership is when there is a shared sale or asset transfer between supplier ownership.
