Policy on how the ICBC reinspection program is applied to repairs.

When it applies

The policy applies when the repairs are found to be

  • unsafe
  • below industry standards, or
  • not in accordance with the estimate.

Policy

An ICBC representative who discovers repairs to be unsafe, below industry standards, or not in accordance with the estimate must bring these conditions to the attention of the vehicle owner and repairer immediately. This allows any issues to be rectified promptly and in accordance with the rights of the respective parties.

Note:

ICBC reinspects repaired vehicles at random in all areas of the province on a continuing basis.

ICBC is committed to ensuring safe, quality repairs to customer’s vehicles.

This policy satisfies customers and ICBC that safe, quality repairs are being completed in accordance with the estimate.
