Actual cash value for rebuilt vehicles
Guidelines for determining the actual cash value (ACV) for rebuilt vehicles.
Valuation considerations
Vehicles designated as rebuilt vehicles may not have the same ACV as similar vehicles that are not designated as rebuilt. Further research and analysis is required to determine an accurate ACV.
When determining the value of vehicles designated as rebuilt vehicles, the following must be considered:
- the quality of repairs
- the nature of previous damage
- the vehicle type (for example, rare or collectible), and
- current market conditions.
Vehicle Valuation report
Vehicle Valuation report can be used to determine the vehicle ACV. Estimators and total loss handlers may use the appropriate salvage title description under the Salvage Title drop down menu in the Other Information screen for information.
