Warranties for recycled parts

List of warranty types for recycled parts.

This table presents the various warranty types offered by authorized parts suppliers on recycled parts for ICBC claims.

Recycled part	Warranty
Recycled body parts for vehicles 10 years old and newer	Limited lifetime warranty against premature rust perforation as compared to the rest of the vehicle. Warranty is for the original owner of the vehicle at time of repair against installation of the recycled parts.
Steering knuckles and control arms	Warranty is no longer effective once the steering knuckles and control arms are installed, and wheel alignment and road test has been completed. Note: Wearable items attached such as wheel bearings or ball joints are not included.
Heated rear glass	No warranty. Installer must perform a second check to ensure proper operation of the heating elements prior to installation. Recycled part supplier is not responsible for failure, accident, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance of any part, and failure beyond the applicable warranty period.
All other recycled parts	Warranty for a period of 183 days (six months) or 10,000 kilometers of the part, whichever comes first from the date of purchase. Recycled part supplier replaces the part within one business day of being notified of the failure, or refunds the purchase price of that part, including freight for the part within the applicable warranty period.
