Replace a lost Estimate/Appraisal form

How to assist a customer who loses their Estimate or Appraisal form.

When this applies

At times, customers lose their Estimate or Appraisal form. If a customer loses their estimate form, then assist with replacing the lost form.

Vehicle repairs can still take place, as long as they are completed within the limitation period.

Procedure

  1. Inform the customer that vehicle repairs can still take place provided the repair takes place within the limitation period.
  2. Send a copy of the Estimate or Appraisal form to the customer via
    • email
    • fax, or
    • mail.
  3. Disengage the customer, and determine if any additional enquiries need to be addressed.

  4. Document the call details in .
  5. Perform the follow-up duties which may include:
    • mailing the pertinent documents to the customer, or
    • advising an interested party of the customer’s call.
