Total loss settlement dispute policy

ICBC's policy for claims where the customer is disputing their total loss settlement amount.

Policy

When a customer disputes the total loss settlement amount, the original claims representative must
  • discuss the settlement with the customer to address their questions or concerns, and
  • upon the customer's request, obtain a manager review of the settlement.

The claims representative originally assigned to settle the customer's total loss must also handle any resulting total loss settlement disputes raised by the customer.
