Summary of change
Updates have been made to topics relating to glass only claims, calibrations, and supplier discounts.
Based on feedback from industry, functionality has been added to capture windshield calibration costs in Mitchell estimating. Going forward, windshield calibration of forward facing cameras affixed to the windshield or radar units located in the grill or front bumper performed by collision or glass repair program participants, whether in house or as a sublet cannot exceed
- $225 if they are static or dynamic calibrations, and
- $450 where both aforementioned calibrations, known as universal calibrations, are required
Upgrades or substitutions on glass only claims are now allowed, providing that there is no additional claim cost to ICBC. Participants must retain a point of sale receipt detailing both the customer and ICBC portion of the claim.
Glass only roof claims are now allowed to be processed at glass repair program facilities with the assistance of an ICBC estimator.
The mention of non-compliance has been removed from Policy on supplier incentives and promotions, as the information is already mentioned in the Glass Repair Program guide.
