Commercial vehicles include

- buses, and
- other vehicles used by businesses for transport, delivery, or other operational needs
Heavy equipment is defined as machinery more than 8,800 kg, including
- excavators
- bulldozers, and
- other specialized equipment used in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings
Procedure

Review coverage.
- Check tractor rate class and territory confirming correct one is listed.
- Check trailer rate class and compatibility.
- Check driver's licence to confirm class validity.

Contact registered owner (RO) and driver.
- Obtain a statement regarding the loss details.
- Confirm the use of vehicle on the date of loss (DOL) .
- Confirm the residence of driver.
- Advise customer of loss of use coverage.
- Note the conversation with the customer on the claim.

Arrange repairs for material damage.
- Open loss of use exposures for the maximum amount.
- Settle the claims.
