Summary of change
Tesla has updated hardware and software within their vehicles that make it easier to perform diagnostics and perform certain system calibrations without physically accessing the Tesla Toolbox via laptop hookup and Tesla credentials. In response to Tesla’s changes, the new Tesla Diagnostic Policy is designed to clarify the allowances that can be billed for specific system calibrations. This applies to estimates written on or after March 5, 2026.
