Summary of change

The electronic signature policy has been updated by adding clarifying language for when and how the policy applies and the documentation required when utilizing the electronic signature option.

This policy was taken from a temporary COVID policy and is now being implemented permanently for repair facilities to utilize more options for customer convenience. Electronic signatures apply for glass, collision, and commercial claims where there may be a challenge having the customer sign in person. Updates have been made to topics as a result of recent changes regarding electronic signatures for claims estimates.

The Customer's Statement section of the estimate can be completed by

  • electronic signature, or
  • wet ink signatures that are scanned/photographed, and emailed back to repair program participant.
