Budget rental rates for North Island

ICBC pays replacement vehicle daily rental rates for Budget Car and Truck Rentals (Budget) in the North Island region, including branches in Campbell River, Comox, Courtenay, and Port Hardy.

Daily rental rates

The following vehicle classes are available for the corresponding daily rental rates effective September 1, 2026 to August 31,2029.

The Vehicle Licensing Fee (VLF) and Energy Recovery Fee of $0.57 per transaction day is permitted in addition to the schedule rates.
A winter tire fee of $12.00 per transaction day is charged for vehicle rentals where winter tires are supplied. Three-peak mountain snowflake symbol winter tires are available in all regions.
kilometres (km) are unlimited for all passenger vehicles. Vehicles denoted by an asterisk (*) in the table are limited to 200 km included per day with a charge of $0.30 per additional kilometre (km) per day.
