Enterprise Rent-A-Car regions, service features and fees

When Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the preferred rental vehicle supplier in a region, they offer ICBC customers special service features on all rental vehicles with select additional fees allowed when invoiced.

Note: Customers can choose to use any rental vehicle supplier, but claim representatives recommend a preferred rental vehicle supplier to the customer, provided one is available in the customer's area.

Regions covered

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the preferred rental vehicle supplier in the following regions:
  • Fraser Valley
  • Greater Vancouver
  • Mid Island
  • North Central
  • Northeastern British Columbia (B.C.)
  • Northwestern B.C.
  • Squamish - Whistler
  • Sunshine Coast, and
  • West Kootenays.

Service features and additional fees

Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicle features ensure that the customer receives superior service and high-quality vehicles.

The following lists the vehicle and service features available, and additional fees:
  • All Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental vehicles
    • have less than 50,000 kilometres (km) on the odometer
    • are less than two years old
    • have half a tank of gas
    • are properly cleaned and maintained
    • have British Columbia (B.C.) licence plates, and
    • have all-season (mud and snow) rated tires.
      Note: For additional information on winter tires, refer to the Winter tires section of this topic.
    Note: Enterprise Rent-A-Car has hand-controlled vehicles upon request at select locations, and where reasonably available with 48 hours' notice.
  • The service features Enterprise Rent-A-Car provides are
    • unlimited kilometres (km)
    • guaranteed availability, and a no-charge upgrade when a vehicle in the same class as the customer's vehicle is not available, for the following vehicle classes:

    • toll-free roadside assistance available 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year (24/7/365)
    • after-hours key drop box at the majority of locations
    • option to drive vehicle to the United States
    • pick-up and drop-off services within 50 km of a Enterprise Rent-A-Car location at no-charge, and
      Note: This includes no-charge delivery to the repair facility when required.
    • drop-off of vehicle at any Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Canada at no-charge.
  • Select additional fees Enterprise Rent-A-Car allows when invoicing are
    • $75 to $125 delivery fee when outside of a 50 kilometre (km) radius from an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location, up to 150 km, or $2.00 per km beyond 150 km radius
    • $0.60 per day permitted for retail Vehicle Licensing Fee (VLF)
    • $1.50 per day, Passenger Vehicle Rental Tax (PVRT) for all passenger vehicle rentals greater than eight (8) hours, but less than 28 days, and
    • $12.00 per day extra for winter tires when provided.

Winter tires

Customers who request severe winter condition Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) tires on their rental vehicle
  • should have the same type of tires on their own vehicle, and
    Note: Consult your manager about any potential exceptions.
  • may exhaust their Loss of Use coverage faster due to the additional fee of $12.00 per day.
Exception: From October 1 to April 30, all Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicles in the following selected regions will automatically include 3PMSF winter tires at an additional fee of $12.00 per day:
  • North Central
  • Northeastern B.C.
  • Northwestern B.C., and
  • West Kootenays.
