Policy on suppliers submitting surcharges or additional charges to ICBC for the vehicle repairs.

Policy

ICBC suppliers must charge for repairs based on the rates and times on the Estimate or Appraisal. Surcharging or additional charges to ICBC are not allowed.

Eligibility

The policy applies to all ICBC suppliers where any ICBC Estimate or Appraisal form is created and authorized.

Rationale

The policy ensures that ICBC customers do not pay more than is required to have their vehicle repaired, unless the customer has requested an upgrade or substitution.
