Handle out of province party's accelerated depreciation inquiry
The claim owner or exposure owner adds the required information to the claim, when the out of province third party expresses concerns that their vehicle's value is diminished as a result of a crash involving an ICBC customer.
Prerequisites
An ICBC customer is responsible for a crash in a tort jurisdiction outside British Columbia (B.C.) with an out of province motorist.
When this applies
The non-responsible out of province motorist makes an accelerated depreciation claim against the customer’s Third Party Liability (TPL) coverage.
Note: ICBC does not handle the accelerated depreciation portion of a claim, when ICBC's customer is making a claim against an out of province motorist.
