Completing a site visit

An ICBC estimator completes a site visit at a repair facility once an activity has been assigned to them.

Prerequisites

An EST - Repair Facility Site Visit activity has been assigned to request site visit.

When this applies

Express Desk and Mobile Estimators have different procedures to complete a site visit at a repair facility.

Process

  1. Express Desk.
    1. Review the activity to determine if the claim requires a site visit.
    2. Speak to the repair program participant about their concerns, such as
      • insufficient information
      • disagreement with the estimate cost, or
      • additional input required.
    3. Make a Journal Note in WorkCenter.
    4. Create an EST - Repair Facility Site Visit activity in .
    5. Assign the activity to the servicing claim office.
    6. Make a detailed note in .
    7. Reject the estimate in WorkCenter.
  2. Mobile Estimator.
    1. Navigate to the Mobile Estimating queue in .
    2. Filter out non-relevant queues.
    3. Locate the applicable claim.
    4. Click: Assign to me.
    5. Open the claim to review it.
    6. Open WorkCenter from the claim.
    7. Click: Supplement to Self.
    8. Open the claim to be supplemented in Mitchell Connect.
    9. Click: Write estimate.
      Note: The claim will display in the Jobs List in Mitchell Connect.
    10. Open the claim for review at the repair facility.
      If changes are ... Then ...
      required
      • make changes in Mitchell Cloud Estimating (MCE)
      • commit estimate, and
      • send the claim.
      not required use the SITE VISIT COMPLETED My Templates Line to reflect the site visit is complete.
