Preferred rental vehicle service features

In a location where a rental vehicle provider is the preferred provider, the company offers special features on all rental vehicles.

Vehicle and service features

Customers can choose to use any rental vehicle provider, but claim representatives recommend a preferred rental vehicle supplier to the customer, provided one is available in the customer's area.

Rental vehicle features ensure that the customer receives superior service and high-quality vehicles. The table shows the vehicle and service features.

Remember: A winter tire, per the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure's Winter Tires in BC Handout (pdf), includes two types of tires allowed on Designated Winter Tire and Chain Routes.
Customers who request severe winter condition (mountain snowflake) or all-season mud and snow (M+S) tires on their rental vehicle
  • should have the same type of tires on their own vehicle (talk to your manager about exceptions), and
  • may exhaust their Loss of Use (LOU) coverage faster if the rental vehicle provider has an additional fee.
Tip: Most rental vehicle providers already include all-season tires.
