Policy on repairs of load-bearing components and structures

Eligibility

The policy applies to vehicles and machinery that:

• are constructed to be load-bearing (such as a crane or forklift), or
• have load-bearing equipment attached to them (such as a rollover cage attached to a tractor).

Policy Detail

When a structural load-bearing component, designed to resist defined loads, is damaged by direct physical damage, the repair must be tested and re-certified by one of the following:

• a professional engineer, or
• original equipment manufacturer.
