Sublet towing service urgent and non-urgent recoveries

Guidelines for sublet towing services requiring an urgent or non-urgent recovery

The table presents the sublet towing services for urgent or non-urgent recoveries.

Note: Urgent recovery is defined as an instance where there is insufficient time to complete a claim review by Material Damage Services.

Recovery types	Sublet towing service
Urgent	Tow company handles the direct arrangements for the sublet services through: invoicing for the required sublet services, and applying the 15% markup to the invoiced net sublet amount charges, subject to the trade discount policy.
Non-urgent	ICBC: may respond to the recovery, and reserves the right to advise, in advance of the tow company, who is securing sublet services or equipment to the crash location. Note: ICBC is authorized to arrange, negotiate directly, and pay for the service or equipment.
Non-urgent, and ICBC does not handle the direct billing of the sublet services or equipment.	Tow company: arranges the required services or rental equipment, and applies the 15% markup to the invoiced net sublet amount charges,subject to the trade discount policy.
