Tow rate categories

Tow rate categories are defined for all claim required tows, and additional services.

Description

Applicable tow, distance and category hourly rates are based on the
  • gross vehicle weight (GVW) rating of the towed vehicle
  • applicable supplier business type, such as Base (Tier 1 vs Tier 2 in Tow Console), and
  • date of tow service as defined in the Towing and Storage Rate Payment Schedule.
Note: Additional services are based on the applicable category hourly rate. The tow company is responsible for using an appropriate tow vehicle.
