Trade discounts

When assistance from a sublet company is required or additional equipment with a posted retail rate is rented, then the:

  • expectation ICBC puts on the original tow company is to attempt to obtain a trade discount on the service and equipment cost, and
  • trade discount must be obtained through a business to business negotiation.
Important: Occasionally, a tow company is unable to negotiate any trade discount percentage on the cost of the service or equipment required. Billing is allowed at the applicable markup percentage (up to 15%) over net payment
