Definition of tire advance disposal fees and tread codes.
The tire advance disposal fees (ADF) is a fee collected on new tire sales and reinforced by the Tire Stewardship British Columbia Association (TSBC). The TSBC operates and manages the provincial scrap tire recycling program.
Exclusions from the ADF
The recycling regulation excludes tire types that are
- used for cycles, wheelchairs, or three wheeled motorized devices designed for the transportation of people with physical disabilities
- used for aircraft or wheelbarrow
- retail value of less than $30.00
- recapped and re-trend tires, and
- tread codes for C, E, G.L, or IND.
