When failures to the part occurs to radiators or air conditioning parts within the applicable warranty period, the recycled parts suppliers:

Note: The repair facility must advise the recycler of what is required before proceeding with further repairs when a recycled part fails due to faulty part.

Recycled parts for commercial vehicles

Warranty on recycled drive train components are sparse and may not be the best option for the owner. They may cause problems for the Commercial Claims Appraiser, should one fail shortly after install. Usually these parts are utilized to save on depreciation costs.

It's helpful to ensure that the owner is fully aware of the possibility of recycled parts failure and that if so, costs will be the responsibility of the owner.

A common request is to install a recycled radiator or charge air cooler, to save on depreciation. As with drive train components, the owner must fully understand the ramifications should they choose this option and the part fails. Good notes on the claim are paramount in this scenario.
Note: If a major component is to be replaced with a recycled part, confirm with the Commercial Claims MD Manager before completing the transaction. Engines fit into this category and have certain difficulties that may present.
