Definition

Vehicle decals and wraps are designed for:

  • vehicle detailing
  • graphic decorating
  • advertising, and
  • protecting paint surface.

Types of decals and vehicle wraps

Types of vehicle coverings Features
Decal (full/partial/panel)
  • Applied to either a single panel, multiple panels, or the full vehicle
  • Specified by the panel or vehicle
  • Can be removable, but are generally designed as permanent.
Wrap
  • Typically larger and more modern in design than panel decals
  • Generally applied to the full vehicle
  • Either removable or permanent
Note: Own Damage coverage is provided for permanent/removable decals and vehicle wraps that meet the definition of permanently attached equipment defined in Permanently attached equipment. Tools, such as a heat gun and/or solvents, are necessary for its removal. Wraps or coverings of a temporary nature that do not require a tool for removal are not covered as permanently attached equipment of a vehicle.
