Paying for claim required tows and storage
Policy on paying for claim required tows and storage.
Policy
ICBC pays the
- claim required tows
- additional services charges, and
- vehicle storage days for the dispatched vehicle.
Note: ICBC does not pay for tow or storage related to police holds or impounds.
When tow suppliers receive either an ICBC external tow dispatch, or a photo or invoice request for vehicles in their storage facility, such as a yard and/or building, they agree to
- release the dispatched vehicle, if the vehicle needs to be towed
- send the photos provided in the request, and
- invoice ICBC for all vehicle claim required
- tows and distance charges
- additional service charges, and
- vehicle claim required and/or applicable salvage required storage days.
ICBC pays tow suppliers for dispatched and/or invoices requested for vehicles in accordance to the Towing Storage Rate Payment Schedule (CL332) form, and the Claims Procedures manual.
Note: ICBC does not consider the payment of a vehicle tow between storage facilities and/or buildings (owned, leased or shared) that is not dispatched by ICBC.
