Standards of performance

Repair facilities must meet all these standards of performance with respect to aftermarket parts.

Requirement Standard of performance
Mitchell Cloud Estimating (MCE) parts search The repair facility must search for aftermarket parts based on the information provided by the MCE database.
Approved and monitored parts The repair facility must use only
  • CAPA certified or NSF certified:
    • sheet metal parts
    • aftermarket bumper systems and structural parts, and
    • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) components.
  • SAE or DOT approved lamps.
Part certification stickers The repair facility must leave any part certification (CAPA, NSF) stickers intact.

Standards are not met

If a repair facility chooses to use a supplier or an aftermarket part that does not meet these standards of performance, the repair facility and the parts supplier assume all responsibility for the quality of the part and workmanship.
