Guidelines on subletting for a glass only claim.

Policy

Glass repair program participants are not permitted to sublet glass operations on a glass only claim. They can, however, sublet the calibration of Advanced Driver-Assist Systems (ADAS) equipment when related to the replacement of a windshield.

Glass repair claims can be facilitated at a non participant location by a glass repair program participant through a mobile install and can include facilities such as

  • collision repair program participants
  • new car motor dealer mechanical facilities, and
  • heavy equipment facilities.
The glass repair program facility
  • generates the claim
  • collects the deductible from the customer, and
  • submits the glass invoice for payment directly to ICBC
