List of glass material allowances.

Urethane and butyl tape allowances

Vehicles that require a urethane or butyl tape set according to National Autoglass Specifications (NAGS) are eligible for allowances.

The table presents the urethane and butyl tape allowances:

Urethane allowance

The urethane allowance includes

  • conventional urethane
  • two-component rapid cure urethane, and
  • high modulus/non-conductive urethane.
Note: The glass facility is responsible to ensure the correct urethane is used at all times.

Urethane

The urethane allowance

  • applies for all windshield, rear glass and quarter glass claims when indicated as urethane installation in National Autoglass Specifications (NAGS), and
  • does not apply for door glass installation except for permanently urethane-fixed (non-movable) glass in van and cargo doors.
Important: Up to three urethane allowances can be added per claim installation for Class A motorhomes.

Butyl tape

The butyl tape allowance applies for stationary back and/or 1/4 glass, requiring the use of butyl tape as identified in the NAGS Calculator.
