Removal and installation of non-reusable scripts

Examples

Some scripts must be removed to complete a refinishing job. When stuck-on scripts are peeled off the vehicle, they usually cannot be reused.

Non-reusable scripts include but may not be limited to:

• flexible letters with a chrome-like or coloured backing, or
• complex or ornate letters or scripts that are extremely difficult to re-tape.

Allowances

When a non-reusable glued or taped-on script must be removed to facilitate painting

• the part is paid at the competitive retail price, and
• the appropriate remove and replace labour rate applies, as listed in the Mitchell Cloud Estimating (MCE).

A reasonable judgment time/allowance applies for re-taping

• stick-on mouldings
• nameplates, and
• scripts.
