Guidelines for standards of performance on exchange parts for suppliers.

Standards of performance

Exchange parts suppliers must meet the following standards of performance and all general standards of performance.

Requirement Standard of performance
Price guarantee Exchange parts pricing listed on the Estimate or Appraisal must be used by the listed part supplier for a period of 30 days from the date the estimate was written.
Readily available parts All exchange parts listed in the Mitchell Cloud Estimating (MCE) database must be readily available within 24 hours.
Problem with a part When a problem arises with the original exchange part provided, the
  • supplier must locate an in stock replacement part from another part supplier in the MCE suite database, and
  • original exchange part supplier must make arrangements,whenever practical, to resolve the problem on the same day.
Exchange versus aftermarket parts Aftermarket parts must not be provided in lieu of an exchange part.
Plastic bumper cores Aftermarket plastic bumpers must not be used as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) exchange cores.
