Moulding allowance document requirements

ICBC pays the moulding allowance when requirements are met.

Allowance

The moulding allowance is paid when the moulding is
  • replaced, and
  • priced below $101.00, which is the combined total of all mouldings required per piece of glass.

Mouldings priced below $101.00

All moulding replacements priced below $101.00 require the following documents.
Note: These requirements apply to glass repair program participants.
Moulding type Required documents Payment
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) mouldings Copy of the original OEM part invoice(s) ICBC pays the moulding allowance.
Aftermarket mouldings Copy of the supplier invoice
Note: A photocopy of the moulding packing slip or invoice with the applicable claim number identified is acceptable when mouldings are ordered by the roll.

Moulding priced at $101.00 or more

All moulding replacements priced at $101.00 or more which is the combined total of mouldings per piece of glass, require the following documents.
Note: These requirements apply to glass repair program participants.
Moulding type Required documents Payment
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) mouldings Copy of the original OEM part invoice(s). ICBC pays the retail price indicated on the OEM part invoice.
Aftermarket mouldings Copy of the supplier invoice. ICBC pays the net costs as indicated on the invoice plus a 25% mark-up.

Missing documentation

When a claim is submitted for payment without the required documents, the part may be removed from the glass invoice and deducted from payment.
