Two tone refinish policy
A collision repair program participant must determine if two tone refinishing should be applied to a repair estimate.
Applicability
Two tone refinish applies when a secondary colour is applied on the same panel, requiring additional sanding, masking, mixing, and paint application.
Note: Two tone is not applicable when the secondary colour is located on a separate removable part, such as when a bumper cover is a different colour than the detachable lower bumper deflector or when a door cladding is a different colour than the door.
When Two Tone is selected in the VEH admin screen, Mitchell may apply two tone to panels that do not qualify. The collision repair program participant must de-select Two Tone from the Refinish operation for the panels which do not qualify.
Note:
Mitchell Cloud Estimating may not apply two tone to certain panels, including bumpers, roofs, and hoods. If a two tone application is required on these panels, refer to Apply additional two tone refinish time to an estimate.
