Glass claim reporting
Customers can report a glass claim directly to a glass repair program facility.
Glass claim reporting details
Glass repair program participants must obtain authorization from Provincial Glass Operations (PGO) before starting repairs on a vehicle that has additional non-glass damage.
Note: Glass repair claims may include run-channels, mouldings, and trim. These items do not count as additional non-glass damage, and therefore do not require PGO authorization.
A claim is not eligible for glass repair under the Glass Repair Program when the
- incident occurred outside of British Columbia (B.C.), or
- damage is due to a collision.
Glass claims are managed or created by the Customer Contact Centre (CCC) if
- the customer reporting the claim does not have access to a glass repair facility, or
- there is damage to the
- headlights
- tail lights
- sun roof
- mirrors
- bodywork, or
- paint.
CCC does not retain the claim if it is a subrogated claim, or if it has a coverage issue.
