Collision repair program
ICBC and Collision Repair Program participants work cooperatively to establish an effective and efficient business relationship for the benefit of their mutual customers.
Program overview
The Collision Repair Program
- accredits facilities that achieve and maintain the highest standards for customer service and quality repairs
- ensures that customers receive efficient, cost-effective repairs that meet the highest industry standards for safe, proper repairs
- provides participants with access to business systems and software to estimate repairs to ICBC customer vehicles, and
- recognizes the investments that participants make in training, equipment, productivity and customer service.
Participation in the program is voluntary for collision repair facilities that
- meet and maintain the program requirements, and
- sign the Collision Repair Agreement.
Participants must adhere to requirements set out in the
- Damage section of Claims Procedures
- Collision Repair Program guide, and
- Collision Repair Agreement.
Benefits
The benefits of the program include
- increased facility efficiency
- reduced repair cycle times for customers, from date of the accident to completed repair
- ICBC and participants working together to continuously improve service efficiency to customers
- eligibility to receive maximum labour rates set out on the ICBC’s Business Partner’s Page (as amended from time to time)
- enhanced information for customers regarding Participants’ repair capabilities, such as
- language options
- original equipment manufacturer (OEM) certifications
- aluminium repair, and
- other customer relevant information
