Set amounts for child car seats

A list of ICBC's approved set amounts for different types of child car seats.

Overview

When a customer applies for reimbursement and/or replacement of a child car seat, the exposure owner determines if the customer is eligible for full reimbursement, or a set amount, using the Child car seat reimbursement types and eligibility policy.

ICBC provides a guide to customers on icbc.com for the
  • child car seat types that are available, and
  • manufacturer's age and height/weight requirements associated with each child car seat.
Important: This is a guide only. A customer must use a child car seat in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and British Columbia (B.C) legislation, which are both the ultimate authority on child car seat requirements.

A description for each child car seat type is provided in the table.
