Managing glass claim when Glass Web Express is unavailable

Glass facilities who access the Glass Web Express (GWE) manage a glass claim differently when the GWE is unavailable.

When this applies

When GWE is unavailable to process a glass claim for customers who have reported their damage directly to a facility.

Procedure

  1. Glass facility
    1. Confirms customer information is correct for
      • vehicle plate
      • vehicle information number (VIN)
      • vehicle registration number
      • date of loss (DOL)
      • cause of damage, and
      • applicable taxes (GST and PST).

    2. Contact Provincial Glass Operations (PGO) for assistance.

    1. Confirms if
    • vehicle coverage is valid, and
    • claim qualifies for express handling.

    • advises the facility to proceed, and
    • resubmits the claims request when the GWE system is restored.
