Policy on loss of use extension for vehicle settlements
A vehicle settlement representative must obtain approval if they decide to extend the customer’s Loss of Use coverage beyond the standard three days or beyond policy limits for a total loss claim.

Loss of Use priority of payment
Customers with more than one source of Loss of Use (LOU) coverage can access all sources for their claim. The order in which each source of coverage is accessed, and payments are made, is determined by the priority specified in the ICBC Autoplan Optional Policy Booklet (APG33).
