Refinish allowance

Requirements

Refinish times for most refinish items are listed in Mitchell Cloud Estimating (MCE).

Refinish allowances are subject to the following requirements:

• Refinish time for items listed in MCE must be applied as listed, and
• Items requiring refinishing that are not listed in MCE, are assigned judgment times.

Coverage

In the event of a claim, ICBC

• pays the cost of repainting the damaged portion of the vehicle only, and
• does not make an allowance for complete painting of the vehicle to resolve a problem with colour match.
