Unsafe vehicle

Definition of an unsafe vehicle (also known as, an out of service vehicle).

Definition

An unsafe vehicle is a hazard on BC’s roads, and deemed unsafe for many reasons.

On inspection, an unsafe vehicle is not safe to use due to:

  • a pre-existing mechanical condition
  • wear and tear, and/or
  • prior body repair work.
